Why You Should Check If Someone Is Stalking You On Spotify
Have you ever been accused of stalking someone by Spotify?
You know what I’m talking about, right? Someone finds out that you’re now listening to their favorite artist and they accuse you of being obsessed with them, even though you have no idea who they are and only heard the song because it’s really good. While being stalked on Spotify can feel a little weird, it doesn’t always mean anything bad or negative. In fact, if you think about it, there are some great reasons why people might be stalking you on Spotify!
Find Out Who Has Been Listening To Your Playlist
Unfortunately, there is no way to find out who has been listening to your playlist. However, there are a few things you can do that will tell you if someone may be stalking you.
Find Out Who Has Viewed Your Profile
If you are looking for a way to find out who has viewed your profile on the Spotify Music App, head over to the Settings tab. Scroll down and you will see a How do I stop someone from contacting me link, which will lead you to the section titled Viewing History. There you will be able to see who has been viewing your profile. Be warned, this will give out your email address if they have contacted you before, so proceed with caution!
Find Out Who Has Logged Into Their Account From An Unknown Device
A question people ask often is, How do I know if someone is stalking me on Spotify? As with most apps, you can't tell for sure. However, we are going to show you how to find out who has logged into their account from an unknown device. Login in to your account and go to Settings (the gear symbol). Then select Account Information. You will be able to see when the last time you accessed your account was as well as when other devices accessed it.
Find Out Who Has Deleted Their Activity
The first step to figuring out if someone is stalking you on Spotify is to see if the person has deleted their activity. This may seem like a common sense thing, but people sometimes forget about this option or don't bother with it for some reason. To do this, simply open up the Connect tab in the app and then click on Follower Activity. The table will show all of your followers' last account activities.
Spotify Security Tips
Spotify is a great way to explore new music, but you should always make sure that your account security settings are up-to-date. Follow these simple steps to make sure no one else can log into your account from a different computer and listen to your favorite tunes.
